Account details

If you sign in, Taplas holds the identity your sign-in provider shares (such as your name and email), which provider you used, and when your account was created. Guests can browse without an account.

Location

With your permission, Taplas uses your location to show pubs near you. When you contribute, your distance from the pub at that moment may be recorded as a quality guardrail. Taplas does not track your location in the background.

Your contributions

Beers you add, availability and price reports, ratings, requests and other contributions are stored against your account. Community contributions are displayed at pub or beer level without publicly identifying the contributor.

Your Taplas activity

Favourites, Beer Mats and other account activity needed to provide your personal Taplas features may be stored against your account.

Device data and preferences

Settings like distance units, search radius, layouts, notification choices, and your acceptance of these documents may be stored on your device.

Analytics and crash logs

Taplas currently relies on the basic diagnostics the app platforms provide. If dedicated analytics or crash-reporting tools are added, they will be named here.

How this data is used

To run Taplas, protect community data from abuse, weigh reports, provide your account features, moderate the service and improve Taplas. Taplas only uses personal data where there is a lawful basis to do so.

Sharing

Taplas does not sell your personal data. Data may be processed by service providers needed to operate Taplas, such as hosting and sign-in providers. Community contributions are shared publicly at pub or beer level.

How long data is kept

Taplas keeps personal data only for as long as it is needed to run the service, meet legal obligations, resolve abuse or disputes, and maintain legitimate community records.

Your choices, rights and deletion

You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal data. To ask about your data or request deletion, contact privacy@taplas.app. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Taplas grows. Material changes may require re-acceptance in the app.
