Taplas is a community-powered guide to pubs and the beers they actually serve. It doesn't sell alcohol, and it isn't the pubs talking — it's the people at the bar.
The problem
A great pint is usually nearby — the hard part is knowing it's there. Guest taps come and go quickly, beer boards change constantly, and pub websites rarely keep up.
The people who really know what's pouring are already at the bar. Taplas gives them somewhere to share it.
How Taplas answers it
People at the pub report what's on, what's gone off, and what they actually paid.
Taplas combines those first-hand observations into a live picture of the pub. Fresh reports matter more than old ones, agreement matters more than repetition, and conflicting reports stay visible.

More than a pub directory
Taplas doesn't forget everything when a beer goes off tap. Pubs build up a history of what's been seen there, and you build your own history as you use the app.
How it started
Taplas started with one town's pubs, a hand-built list of beers, and a simple thought: drinkers collectively know an enormous amount about their local pubs — it just never gets written down anywhere useful.
Taplas is an attempt to give that knowledge somewhere to live. It's independently built in the UK, on a UK-wide pub map, and it gets more useful every time somebody contributes one small piece of first-hand information.
